The organisation

The El Nidaa Foundation adopts a model focusing on multidimensional poverty reduction and employment creation. With a specific focus on Qena, and some villages in Luxor and Sohag, the project facilitates the introduction of innovative interventions that target skill development, job creation, and sustainable agriculture, covering 51 indicators of 10 of the Global Sustainable Development Goals.

The El Nidaa Foundation was registered as a not-for-profit foundation in January 2016 and is part of the ENID (Egyptian Network for Integrated Development) project, a partnership between the Ministry of International Cooperation and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) that started in 2012.

ENID / El Nidaa’s long-term objective is to contribute to the socio-economic empowerment of disadvantaged women and youth in rural Upper Egypt through skills formation for employability and job creation.
